The Welty House

The historic Welty House was built in about 1830 and was in the firing line during the Battle of Gettysburg. Its South wall bears many scars made by bullets fired between the Confederate forces in the town and the Federal (Union) forces on Cemetery Hill. The house now has five guest rooms (Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Illinois and Texas).
